BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökhan Türkçapar was born on 17 August 1964. He started his education first at Ataturk Primary School in Kahramanmaras and then later continuing at Antakya Central Primary School, and Ankara Kocatepe Mimar Kemal High School. He graduated from Medical School at Ankara in 1987. He completed his P.h.D. between 1987-1992 at Ankara University Medical School. After 1992, he started to work in the general surgery in Ankara University. He completed his army duty at 1993 at Ankara Mevki Hospital. He gained his doctorate at 1997 and became a Professor doctor at 2003. He is continuing his profession in the Laparoscopic Bariatric surgery clinic he founded this year. He is married and has 3 daughters.

His concentration is on Laparoscopic surgery. (Gastro-oesophageal REFLUX HERNIA AND OBESITY SURGERY).
