This fantastic National Park, was created by nature as the result of erosion from wind and rain for centuries, has constituted the countless fairy chimneys, caves and beautiful formations. The region shelters a unique land structure and was used intensively as a religious centre by the early Christians during the Roman and Byzantine periods. The volcanic, soft tufa structures were curved easily by the early Christians and underground cities, monastaries and churches were built. Uçhisar, with its panoramic view and citadel; Göreme, frescoed churches at the Open Air Museum, pensions, hotels, restaurants and cafes; Zelve, with its monastery complexes; Avanos, with its workshops on pottery and extraordinarily beautiful glazed tiles; Ürgüp, a centre for shopping and spending the night; Kaymaklı and Derinkuyu with their underground cities are all worth seeing. Fethiye
Fethiye region or Land of Lights, is not only seaside resort, but also a living witness of ancient history via Lycian Way. Pamukkale
Pamukkale(means cotton castle), which is known as a miracle of nature throughout the world, besides its beneficial thermal springs, has been a centre of recreation that has been visited with pleasure since the Roman Period. The heat of the water at the output of the springs is 36 degrees Celsius. During the flow of the waters of the natural spring, the carbon-dioxide evaporates and the water with calcium-bicarbonate cools down, precipitates and creates layers, forming the Pamukkale travertines of today.
